@Acton… really? I’d give it to Nasri or Berbatov over Bale.

First off, the PFA award is awarded for work done in ENGLISH FOOTBALL… so, as artistic as his demolition of Maicon was, it doesn’t count toward the award.

Secondly, Bale has not stopped from Tottenham slowly slipping down the table. They’ve dropped 13 points in the past 10 matches including a 3-1 loss to Blackpool and draws to West Ham (19th), Wigan (17th) and Wolves (2oth).

Im sure it says PFA player of the YEAR. Gareth bale is good but sooo overated! he did well in 2 champions league matches… Thats it. I thought the real winner should of been between Samir Nasri + Nemanja Vidic. Jack wilshere hands down deserved that award he has been outstanding. I aint even an arsenal fan but i have seen him and Nasri play every single match this season and i think they deserve it!

Bale probably deserves it by your logic of Feb to Feb, but yeah this season he has not been the best Tottenham player. The consistent performances of Modric, Gallas, Lennon, Dawson have stood out for me.

When Bale is on form, he is unplayable, but people easily forget a lot of the mediocre performances where Lennon has been the main threat.

I agree that based on this season alone Parker or Adam are deserving. When we played Blackpool, he beat us on his own. Then young player is a toss up between Bale and Wilshire, the one Arsenal player I would love to have on our books. (I’m a Spurs fan)

I would have picked Gareth Bale, blind-folded, twice. Scott Parker ? I’ll assume you were high on narcotics at the time…What Bale did to Maicon over two legs of a Champions League tie was artistic to say the least…
