Norwich go up, QPR are champions… Maybe, and Massey gets floored

The Spoiler – proud to avoid the obvious joke

You remember Sian Massey, right? Anyway, here’s Cardiff’s Kevin McNaughton running into the back of her before skedaddling off without so much as a word of apology. The swine.

His bad mood can probably be attributed to the fact the Bluebirds were on their way to a 3-0 hammering against Middlesbrough. A defeat that allowed Norwich to claim automatic promotion thanks to their win later in the evening against Portsmouth.

Anyway, Norwich are guaranteed promotion to the Premier League, but for ‘champions’ QPR, things aren’t quite so straightforward…

For the three of you who don’t know the deal, the inverted commas are because QPR could yet be docked a load of points because of alleged irregularities in their 2009 signing of Alejandro Faurlin.

There’s a problem because it looks like QPR might have paid a third party when signing the midfielder, as well as failing to let the FA know of an agreement between themselves and the third party, along with submitting false information relating to a contract extension signed in October by Faurlin.

Basically, there is no ‘basically’. It seems bloody complicated, which is presumably why it’s taken half the season for this to be sorted out. It leaves QPR in limbo, while Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers has said the teams in and around the play-offs have been told there could be fixture changes if QPR appeal any charge.

It’s a bit of a mess, really.

Massive congratulations to Norwich though, who clinched consecutive promotions after Cardiff’s loss – which was in no way Jay Bothroyd’s fault…

Cardiff’s inability to get automatic promotion has given us the intriguing/terrifying prospect of the Bluebirds meeting bitter rivals Swansea City in the play-off final at Wembley.

If that apocalyptic scenario does transpire, then avoid the M4 on May 30th as it will probably resemble a deleted scene from Mad Max, while Wembley itself will have more than a hint of downtown Tripoli about it.

So, what do you make of it all? Should QPR be punished? Will the FA take the easy way out? Is a Cardiff/Swansea play-off final too terrifying to consider? Let us know what you reckon with a comment below…

Judging by the rate these videos come down, how many times a day do you think somebody from the FA checks this website?

They dont need to check youtube for offending material, you just post it all for them

    :(

The more people that post them the harder it is for them to control it and the sooner they’ll realize they can’t/shouldn’t be allowed to control premier league football.

We don’t live in a communist state so we shouldn’t fear the FA and allow them to filter what we can see like big brother.
