Not bad for a rubbish player...

Brilliant stat about Zlatan Ibrahimović and his trophies

The learned Spoiler readers out there may already know this, but we think it’s worth repeating:

With AC Milan winning the  Scudetto at the weekend, Zlatan Ibrahimović has now won a league title eight years in a row – once with Ajax, twice with Juventus*, three times with Inter Milan, once with Barcelona and now once with AC Milan.

Good, innit?

*The Juventus ones were stripped because of dodgy stuff, but we’ll quietly sweep that under the carpet.

Heard Van Bommel has 8 in titles in 12 now too or something like that. Man City ought buy the pair of them just for good luck.

Even though people think of his time at Barcelona as a failure, in his debut season he played 41 games, scored 21 goals and got 9 assists. Compare that to David Villa – 22 goals, 9 assists in 47 games. Ibra has a better record for Barca than Villa, but Villa doesn’t get nearly as much criticism. Why? He’s Spanish…

Barca treated him horribly without good reason. I don’t know if it was related to ethnicity, but it was quite disillusioning. And I say this as a cule.
