Gary Neville can build house, annoy Noel Gallagher and commentate on CL final

Robbie Savage retired from football this week. In between the tears and BANTER from teammates he also won a Sony award for being the Best Up and Coming Radio Person, or something. Well done.

Gary Neville also retired this season and he too looks set to make his mark – on both the media landscape and the Lancashire countryside…

Sky Sports looks set to make the Champions League final an even more miserable occasion for Manchester City and Liverpool fans by getting GNev to commentate!

According to The Independent, he will join Martin Tyler in the commentary box in a bold attempt to make Ray Wilkins look like a neutral commentator with well-balanced opinions.

ITV it is, yea?

In other GNev news, his Telletubbie-type house has been given the go-ahead. By a government minister, no less.

The local residents aren’t too happy though. They say something like:

‘The house and attached wind turbine will destroy the green belt landscape and we aren’t convinced the place will be carbon neutral as GNev promises.

But probably mean:

‘Please don’t let Gary Neville live anywhere near us.’

The Spoiler actually quite likes Gaz, but one person who seems to loathe him is one-half of Manchester’s third most famous siblings – Noel Gallagher.

NGall (that doesn’t work) isn’t happy that Neville has been quoting Oasis lyrics in his tweets.

As reported in The Sun, Gallagher had this to say:

“I feel violated. If Mr Neville continues to use the holy scriptures of Oasis to communicate with the Cockney massive, I shall be forced to come up to Cheshire in the middle of the night, break into his house, tie him to a chair, make him listen to the Best Of Simply d(Red)ful while I pull his tash out one grey hair at a time (with my teeth), liberate those Oasis CDs and shit in his manbag. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED…”

Phew! That’s about all the Gary Neville we can deal with today. If you just can’t get enough, why not follow him on Twitter?

So, will you be forced to watch the Champions League final on mute? Let us know what you think with a comment below…
