Swansea and Forest’s play-off game had four brilliant goals…
(L-R) John Toshack, long-haired ginger man, Gary Speed
The first Championship play-off semi-final second-leg (that is a word count buggering up name for a game if ever there was one) took place last night and it was an absolute bloody belter – look how thrilled John Toshack and Gary Speed were!
Swansea won 3-1 but it was a damn sight closer than that would suggest. Forest hit the woodwork (we think) three times, had a decent penalty shout and may consider themselves unlucky not to have at least forced extra-time.
HOWEVER! Swansea were definitely the better team over the two legs and scored three excellent goals to Forest’s one. All four of them are after the jump…
Leon Britton’s left-foot curling belter…
Stephen Dobbie’s nutmeg and drive belter…
Robert Earnshaw’s nice run and great finish belter…
Darren Pratley’s half-way line belter…
So, Cardiff play Reading in the (deep breath)… second Championship play-off semi-final second-leg tonight with Swansea fans and the Metropolitan Police praying for a Reading win, while Cardiff fans and those hoping for a potential Armageddon are rooting for the Bluebirds…

“Forest… had a decent penalty shout”
Was it in my honour that you included that bit of information? *blushes*
