Reading help save the world from destruction by beating Cardiff
Reading are in the Championship play-off final after getting past a Cardiff side that was, in truth, a bit w*nk last night and looked absolutely terrified from the off.
Probably not as terrified as the Metropolitan Police who faced the prospect of 40,000 Cardiff fans having a bank holiday weekend in London with 40,000 Swansea fans.
That’s all by the by now though. Reading were pretty good and took their goals well, although Cardiff goalkeeper Stephen Bywater made a bloody big mistake for their opener (see above) and the second was ‘one of those’ penalties. The third one from from Jobi McAnuff was very nice though…
Reading now play Swansea for the right to play in the Premier League and pick up a cool £90 million (over a few years). Meanwhile, Cardiff fans face their 18thish straight year in the Championship, with Dave Jones and half of the players set to be out on their arse.
Anyway, who does everyone want to win the final? Swansea seem to be the neutrals favourites, although The Spoiler is sure there are some people out there who don’t want a Welsh side in the EPL.
