Don’t forget! There is another game at Wembley this weekend
A new dawn. Or something…
What with all the excitement about the Champions League final this Saturday, you could be forgiven for forgetting that this Bank Holiday Monday will see Swansea City play Reading for a place in the Premier League.
According to exclusive Spoiler sources in Swansea (an old friend) you can’t get a minibus in south Wales for love nor money this weekend. The Swans have completely sold their allocation of around 40,000 tickets (15,000 more than Barca or Man Utd fans got given for tomorrow) for Monday’s clash.
Reading have also shifted all of their tickets meaning there should be a fantastic atmosphere and, with two teams who play some bloody nice football, it should be a fantastic match to… err… match
The question is though – who do you want in the Premier League?
The Swans have won plenty of admirers in recent seasons and have been called – by very, very over excitable people – ‘The Welsh Barcelona’. Now, clearly they’re not THAT good, but with the likes of on-loan Chelsea striker Fabio Borini and the impressive Scott Sinclair playing for them, they’re damned pretty to watch.
However, Reading have the momentum. They’ve been brilliant for the past few months and have bomed into the play-off places. As Blackpool showed last season against Cardiff it’s often the teams who have surged up the table who win the final and pocket about a bazillion pounds as well as top flight football.
HOWEVER! Swansea have beaten the Royals twice already this season and head into the game as narrow favourites. But sod all the stats and facts and nonsense, as we said only three paragraphs ago, what we really want to know is… Who do you want to win?
Below is a poll so your opinions can be reduced to a number, but thankfully there is also a comments box to explain yourself further…
