Vedran Corluka gives away his £36,000 watch – that’s nice, innit?

Not so generous to linesmen…

While his Spurs teammates are sunning themselves in Marbella drinking cocktails with the cast of The Only Way is Essex while trying not to catch any STIs, Vedran Corluka has been at London’s swish Whiskey Mist drinking cocktails with the cast of The Only Way is Essex while trying not to catch any STIs.

So far so Premier League footballer on holiday. HOWEVER! Things took a turn for the generous when a waiter at the trendy club complimented Charlie – as he’s known by his friends – on his garish £36,000 diamon Hublot watch…Charlie – as he’s now called by The Spoiler because it’s easier to spell – then saw the waiter’s watch and asked if he’d like to swap.

According to The Telegraph, this is what a source at the club (Whiskey Mist not Spurs) had to say:

“Charlie took off his watch and handed it to the waiter. Then he spotted the waiter’s watch and said he liked it. He said: ‘Let’s swap!’ The guy thought he was joking.

“Charlie is a lovely bloke and always very polite.”

After a week in which footballers and their ilk have once again been dragged through the mud by their dirty balls, it’s nice to see a footballer doing something nice.
