Transfer stuff

Henderson to Liverpool, Adam to Liverpool, Downing to Liverpool, Jones to United…

A totally relevant picture…

The Glamour awards took place in swish London last night and it sounded like loads of fun. James Cordon presented it again (despite his totally cringe run-in with Captain Jean-Luc Picard at a previous event), Fearne Cotton was there and Kim Kardashian came away with the Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Well done, Kim!

She’s so good at making money she makes Sunderland look like amateurs – and they’ve just sold a relatively promising youngster for £20million…

There’s a distinct red hue to the transfer talk this morning as Liverpool and their nice American owners go mental and start bidding for loads of players – many of which they don’t really need.

Jordan Henderson has joined the Reds from Sunderland for £20million in a deal that included David Ngog.

King Kenny isn’t happy with just Henderson, Raul Meireles, Steven Gerrard, Joe Cole, Maxi Rodriguez, Lucas Leiva and Jay Spearing as his options in the middle though, The Guardian are reporting he’s also after Blackpool’s Charlie Adam.

They reckon the Reds are at the head of the queue and are set to table a bid of around £8million. Do they really need him though?

The Telegraph are treading a path almost as well worn as the middle of the Anfield turf and believe Stewart Downing is set to join Kenny and the Lads for around £10million.

That seems like a better idea to The Spoiler, what with the massive Andy Carroll as a striker. It’d be good to get at least one cross in a game.

As an indulgent side note, we’d love to see a Liverpool team with genuine pace littered throughout it. We quite liked the look of them when Pennant and Bellamy were playing, but that only lasted about three games.

Anyway, as this is being tapped up, SkyBet have actually suspended betting on Phil Jones joining Liverpool. HOWEVER! Sky Sports News are reporting the Blackburn defender is at Old Trafford for a medical with Man Utd.

I wonder what constitutes a football medical? Do they start with a reflex test then have their ears checked for wax, or do they just skip to the treadmill with breathing apparatus bit?

A football medical consists of checking a players fallace for remnants of Imogen Thomas!

Potentially Jordan is Gerard’s substitute. But for the time being, he won’t get permanent place but as right winger.
    any way average lad
Charlie must be next if Matta is not possible.
Clichy decreased the previous season and I am not happy with him.

Kenny should go for a more higher profile player than Charlie Adams. I wouldn’t mind if he went for Downing instead.

Well, Kenny chose to be narrow, and now, he is out of a job. If he had bought the right players his legendary status will still be intact and he’ll still have a job. Serves him right for being narrow-minded.
