transfer stuff

Martinez to Villa, Young to Man Utd and other stuff…

She just wants to have fun…

The transfer stuff has properly been kicking off during the past few days with silly money being spent on fairly promising young English players and the rumour mill spinning faster with each waking second.

In fact, it’s been so busy that we didn’t even notice Christina Aguilera turn into Cyndi Lauper…

Anyway, here’s what we’re being told about the transfer wheelings and dealings from the papers and radio and things…

According to everyone, Roberto Martinez looks set to become the new Aston Villa manager after Mark Hughes, Rafa Benitez and Steve McClaren were all told to ‘do one’.

The Spoiler would love to see this come to fruition because, like everyone else, we love Matinez and reckon him and Randy Lerner would make a top team. However, whether he has the star power to attract players and take Villa to The Next Level is another matter.

One thing he won’t have to worry his arse about though is trying to convince Ashley Young to stay. The Daily Mirror reckons he’s as good as gone to Manchester United in another £16million deal for Sir Fergie.

Not only is it the second £16million signing Fergie will make this summer, but it’s also the second £16million signing that he didn’t actually need to make.

The Guardian believes that Anderlecht striker Romelu Lukaku is on his way to Stamford Bridge and should be there by the weekend in a £20million deal. The Spoiler has read reports he was spotted in West London yesterday so it must be true.

On the wireless, talkSPORT reckons Liverpool look set to snap up Barcelona forward Jeffren. Apparently he’s looking for regular football and, with Messi, Villa and Pedro ahead of him at Barca, he’d probably have a good while to wait in Catalonia.

The South Wales Evening Post have gone promotion crazy and claim Swansea are after Spain and Villarreal midfielder Marcos Senna who is available on a free transfer – that’s not gonna happen though. Is it?

Finally, according to The Sun, Martin Jol is chasing Robbie Keane for Fulham. That would be a nice move for Keane at the end of a very nice career. Nice stadium, nice area, nice statues, no pressure – go on, Robbie. It definitely makes sense.

Agree with the ManU comment, they need top draw midfielders – what with Scholes gone and Giggs showing his age and dirty laundry. Last thing they need are defenders.

no worries..manutd already got a decent young defender and the future looks very bright with Smalling partnering Phil Jones.. also no worries because we’ll got either sanches, nasri or sneijder before the transfer window has close..

..I can smell the fear from rivalry……………..

I’ll prefer sneijder to others ‘cos bit of ManU pattern is in him…
