transfer stuff

Nasri to United, Bojan to Arsenal, Fabregas the other way… Things get exciting…

Anyway, there’s far too much exciting stuff going on to be bothering with stuff like that.

Here’s what we know about the murky world of transfers from the likes of the safe and homely Daily Mirror and the sexy and exotic Marca…

We’ll start with the sexy Spanish title who are currently reporting Cesc Fabregas has pretty much agreed to join Barcelona and there are just a few things that need ironing out – mainly the fee.

Marca are saying Barca have offered €30million AND striker Bojan Krkic AND midfielder Thiago Alcantara. That wouldn’t be too bad a deal for a player that doesn’t really want to be there would it? Or would it?

Losing Fabregas but getting in a couple of very good players might not be TOO bad for the Gunners, but losing Samir Nasri to Manchester United for £10million would be absolutely disastrous – and that’s what the reputable Daily Telegraph reckons could be about to happen.

They’re reporting that representatives of Nasri and United met in Manchester earlier this week to discuss things. Arsene Wenger obviously doesn’t want to sell him – especially not to Man Utd – but with only a year left on his contract, the Gunners may be forced to sort summat out.

Elsewhere, The Guardian fancy Liverpool are about to make a £5million bid for Arsenal full-back Gael Clichy who is also out of contract next summer.

Bloody hell, it’s looking a bit mental at the Emirates, isn’t it?

A bit further west and down a bit, new Fulham boss Martin Jol is not wasting any time and is thought to be making a Spoiler-endorsed bid for Robbie Keane and a Fulham Fan-endorsed(?) bid for Newcastle United skipper Kevin Nolan.

Finally, talkSPORT  reckon Roberto Martinez will decide within the next day if he’s going to become the next Aston Villa manager. The Spoiler reckons he… WILL be the next Aston Villa manager!

He can’t turn it down, can he?*

*Turns out he can. That prediction went wrong after LITERALLY a minute and a half…

Barca clearly trying to replicate their overly stupid Ibra-Eto’o switch from a few years ago. Fabregas is good, but he’s not worth that much. And funny how someone like Nasri would go for so little (there’s no way he’s really going for that, right?) considering the cost of some players like Jordan Henderson lately…

Nasri won’t be at Man Utd next season. Brinksmanship, plain and simple. He’ll get his pay rise, but Arsenal had better see a bloody good season on the back of it.

Thought Martinez had just signed an improved contract to stay at Wigan for ages?

I think Barca want him for the status, he is from there AND went through their youth programme AND he’s really good – though not as good as that nutty offer implies.
