Jones FINALLY to Man Utd, Neymar to Chelsea and other stuff…
Una – tidy
The Saturdays have announced their first ever arena tour. Una and the girls will be heading around the country playing at places like Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester and London.
As well as arenas, all these cities have Premier League football teams, meaning the five foxy females could potentially bump into the likes of fellow youngsters Neymar and Sergio Canales in December. Or something.
Anyway, here’s what we know about Neymar, Canales and a host of other potential summer signings from the red tops and the fancy-font tops…
Firstly, some things that need tying up from last week. Everyone thought Phil Jones’ transfer to Manchester United was all done and dusted. However, apparently Blackburn’s owners are rather miffed as United mysteriously offered exactly the amount stipulated in Jones’ ‘price clause’ allowing him to leave.
The Mirror are reporting that United are prepared to go to £20million to sort it, while the Daily Mail reckons that everything has been sorted and he’s going for £16.5million. Quite frankly, we don’t know what to believe.
He’ll definitely end up at United though.
BREAKING NEWS: Yea, he’s just joined Man Utd officially for around £17million. At least our prediction was right…
Okay, moving on, plenty of places are reporting that Brazilian striker Neymar could be about to join Chelsea in a deal worth around £30million.
Now, The Spoiler doesn’t want to slag off Roman Abramovich too much – mainly because he’s pretty terrifying – but shouldn’t the Blues wait until they have a manager before buying players? Or maybe they already have a manager and Guus Hiddink is quietly relaying his shopping list? Is that allowed?
Either way, things continue to be rather messy at Stamford Bridge which means they won’t win the Premier League next year… That’s set us up for an early fall…
The Daily Mirror are saying Everton are trying to seal a loan deal for Real Madrid midfielder Sergio Canales. Perhaps this is an early sign that Mikel Arteta is off to Villarreal? It would be a shame if Everton were to lose him – we really like Arteta even though he was pretty average last season.
Elsewhere, Scott Parker apparently wants to go to Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United are after Demba Ba and Martin Jol is thought to be interested in bagging Spurs nutter Alan Hutton.
