Transfer stuff

Young finally to Man Utd, Sanchez not to Man City and more…

She’s through to the third round…

Ana Ivanovich played at Wimbledon today and won in straight sets against Greece’s Eleni Daniilidou.

Yea, that’ll do.

Anyway, here’s what we know about transfer news from bloody journalists writing in papers and talking on the telly…

Let’s start with some actual news – Ashley Young has finally moved to Manchester United from Aston Villa for around £16million.

That’s Nani out on his arse than, innit? Maybe? The Spoiler has a sneaky feeling the Portuguese will be heading out the door while he is worth loads and loads of money following a good season for United.

Fergie doesn’t rate him as much as Valencia and we’re going to stick our neck out and say he’s off to Inter Milan as part of a deal for Wesley Sneijder – remember this when we’re proved right. Forget it if we’re wrong.

In manager news, Chris Hughton has been given the Birmingham job. We’re very interested to see how he’ll do. Good luck, Chris.

Now, to the gossip…

The agricultural Chris Samba has been chatting to French paper L’Equipe and has said Blackburn are in talks with a couple of teams. If he doesn’t go to the Gunners we’d be amazed and would fully expect some very polite middle-class outcrying from Arsenal supporters.

The Mirror reckons Alexis Sanchez don’t care too much for money and doesn’t want to join Manchester City. The paper says he refused to board a flight to Manchester and would prefer a move to Barcelona or, failing that, Manchester United.

Udinese don’t want Barca’s offer of cash plus players, while Sanchez doesn’t want City. United are sitting pretty with their alleged £27million offer.

Elsewhere, Sky Sports are reporting Villarreal are set to have talks with midfielder Marcos Senna tomorrow about a new contract. Apparently, European Championship winning Spanish international Senna is up for a move to Swansea(!). Now that we would love to see.

I can’t wait to see the Swans wipe the sarcastic smiles off the faces of all who doubt us – every season we’re written off, and every season we terrify teams. Who Are We?!

May want to do your homework on the teams you’re mocking.

Don’t believe the Mirror when it comes to City. They haven’t published a neutral or pro-City article since Sheik Mansour bougt the club. The journos are all rags and simply can’t cope with City being suceessful.

@ Welcome to Jackland – how about you assist with our homework by confirming when the “terrifying” Swans last featured in the Premiership?

I’m sure that I remember some epic contests between your lot and Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United. Then again, I’m known to drink.
