The Spoiler isn’t lucky enough to be friends with any real footballers but if we could be friends with one, then Darren Fletcher would be pretty high up the list of potential BFFs.
He’s always come across as a very decent chap – as well as a very good player – so we were rather gutted to hear he would be taking an “extended break” from football to recover from the ulcerative colitis that he has been battling for the past year.
The Spoiler is no Doctor but the symptoms sound very painful and we hope he’ll be back and running around the pitch very soon.

had it for the last fifteen years or so, no idea how he’s managed the last few years. brave jock bastard. glad hes taking the time he needs, get well soon fella.
