Some NSFW WAG controversy from the boot-shaped nation

Italians might just be the luckiest folks on Earth: their weather is exceptional, their lifestyles relatively relaxed and their TV stations are jam-packed full of gorgeous women who constantly break out into sexy dance routines for absolutely no reason.

Football show Controcampo (”Offside”) broadcasts on the Mediaset network owned by Italian PM /sex pest Silvio Berlusconi, so its consistently high standards of salacious Waggery is unsurprising. Prominent alumni include Elisabetta Cannalis, Federica Fontana and Chilean model Maria Jose Lopez, the ex-wife of West Ham’s Luis Jimenez.

Ms Lopez - who hit headlines earlier this year for her involvement in a violent  love triangle that earned her a divorce from Jimenez - finds herself back in the spotlight this morning, as she has been sacked from Controcampo.

Sardinian beauty could be the catalyst of Mou’s marital troubles

Last week, Portuguese daily newspaper Correio da Manhã broke the news that Jose Mourinho and his wife are to divorce after twenty years of marriage, following an alleged tryst with a mystery Italian woman.

The Portuguese (and the Spanish) are now suggesting that the homewrecking beauty is Elisabetta Cannalis, the outrageously attractive TV presenter who has previously enjoyed the romantic company of Didier Drogba, Parma’s Reginaldo and condom salesman Christian Vieri.

Last month, the former presenter of football show Controcampo and current face of Italy’s version of MTV TRL did nothing to quash the rumours during an interview:

“The one I really like is Mourinho.”

“I confess I’ve always admired him. I’d like to return to my work [on the television show] Controcampo and interview him along with other guests.”

It’s a sexy story, but it seems that Correio da Manhã actually have no real proof that The Special One has been boffing Elisabetta. This means the whole story could in fact be a thinly-veiled excuse to publish pictures of an under-dressed woman.

The cause of Italy’s latest political sh*tstorm

AC Milan owner and former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is having a tough time at the moment. His wife Veronica Lario is in the process of divorcing him, accusing him of being “a man who frequents minors”. The comment is thought to be a reference to Noemi Letizi, an aspiring model whose eighteenth birthday was attended by the old ladies’ man.

In an interview with Corriere del Mezzogiorno, Noemi addressed the 72-year-old as “daddy”, and admitted her joy at receiving a gold necklace from him as a birthday gift. And yes, we checked and it was definitely a “gold” necklace.

Disinterested Inter manager treated to a lappy

Back in January, Fabio Capello appeared on Chiambretti Night, an Italian TV show that caters for an audience who demand a mixture of topical news discussion and erotic dancing. After dealing with the issues of the day, the England manager was treated to a private dance.

In an effort to endear himself to the Italian public, Jose Mourinho appeared on the same show this week, revealing his future ambitions, and desire to eventually move away from the boot-shaped nation:

“My dream is to win three leagues in Europe. I won in England with Chelsea, I’m going to do everything I can to win in Italy, then I would like to win in Spain, too.”

“After Inter, when it’s over, I won’t be in Italy. But I have a contract for two more years and I want to continue.”

After passionately talking shop, the Special One barely managed to stay conscious while a brunette showgirl gave him a lapdance.

England manager goes talent spotting in Milan

Italian TV is the best in the world. As far as we can tell, the schedules consist only of live sketch shows and talk shows where unfeasibly attractive showgirls dance around in as little as possible.

England manager Fabio Capello is in Milan to watch David Beckham play tonight, but last night he managed to fit a visit to the set of Chiambretti Night (which appears to be Newsnight with more saxophones and eroticism) into his schedule.

The 61-year-old looked like a rabbit in the headlights as a girl (who will almost certainly have sex with Pippo Inzaghi at some point) danced for him.
