Did you do what we told you to at the weekend?

There were plenty of upsets at the bookies this weekend, and if you paid attention to The Dinner’s statistics, you could have been strolling up to the Lamborghini dealership this morning to help David Beckham kill the planet.

Firstly, we found a bizarre way of predicting the score at the Britannia Stadium:

>> chickendinner Da Vinci Code moment: Fancy a 0-0 draw? Stoke City’s last three matches have finished 3-3 (versus Barnsley), 2-2 (versus Plymouth Argyle) and 1-1 (versus Hull City).

We quashed the chance of an upset in Burnley:

» chickendinner superfact: The Gunners haven’t been eliminated in the Third Round since Sheffield United beat them 1-0 in 1996. That was also the last time they were knocked out of the Cup by a team outside the top-flight.

» Burnley have the worst home record in the Championship, with just two wins from 13 matches. Arsenal have lost just once away from home in the league this season.

» chickendinner prophecy of doom: Burnley have kept just one clean sheet at home in the league all season. Arsenal have failed to find the target in just one of their 10 away games in the league this campaign.

We told you the battle of West London would end in heartache for QPR:

» chickendinner prophecy of doom: QPR have a dismal record in the third round of the FA Cup. They have fallen at the third round in each of the last four season, the most recent being after losing 1-0 in a replay at Luton last season after a 2-2 draw at Loftus Road. Worse than that, they have fallen at the first possible hurdle in the FA Cup for the past six seasons, including being dumped out by non-league Vauxhall Motors in the first round in 2002/03.

» chickendinner superfact: For those interested in half time/full time betting Chelsea have won the game on all nine occasions in the league in which they have been leading at half time. They have also conceded just one goal in the second half of games in which they have been leading at the half time interval.

And finally, we gave evidence for Aston Villa’s loss:

» chickendinner prophecy of doom: This is the third time in the last seven seasons that these sides have met in the Third Round of the FA Cup. United have won all three matches.

» Villa have never beaten United in an FA Cup game at Villa Park. Their last triumph over United in the Cup was the 2-1 victory in the 1957 Final at Wembley.

» United have won their last 12 games against Villa, scoring 28 goals (at an average of 2.34 goals a game) and conceding just six.
