Did you do what chickendinner told you to at the weekend?

Jimmy Bullard

While we couldn’t predict that Jimmy Bullard would rise above a prolonged period of injury and a punch in the face from a team mate to score a match winning free kick yesterday, the betting tips at chickendinner were second-to-none over the weekend.

Firstly, we told you how Sunderland could not follow up last week’s win with a result at Anfield:

» Liverpool have won five of the last eight against Sunderland and are unbeaten against the Mackems in Premiership matches at Anfield.

» Sunderland have failed to score in six of the last seven against Liverpool, including each of the last three.

» chickendinner superfact: Following a midweek win at home to Birmingham, Sunderland will head to Anfield in search of successive league victories. However, Keane’s side are yet to manage back to back league wins this season and have not won consecutive fixtures in the top flight since December 2001.

We told you things would be all square at Fratton Park:

» chickendinner superfact: The majority of Portsmouth’s games at home have ended in draws, including an incredible five consecutive 0-0 draws. They have played the other three ‘Big Four’ sides at home already this season, with each game ending in a draw.

We suggested Manchester City’s home form would falter when Arsenal came to town:

» Arsenal have scored in all but one of their league games this season, and have found the net at least once in thirty seven of their thirty nine games in all competitions this season. Their away goal scoring form has been good, scoring twenty in eleven games (1.81 a game on average) in the league.

» chickendinner superfact: Arsenal’s record against sides in the top ten is the best in the league. They are yet to lose against a side in the top ten, and have picked up twenty five points from sides in the top half of the table.

And finally, we didn’t see things going exactly the way King Kev planned at St James’ Park:

» Five of the last seven meetings between the two teams have ended as draws - two 0-0s and three 2-2s.

» Four of the last five games between the two have seen at least one goal in the final fifteen minutes
