Since Mrs Lineker called time on being married to Gary, blaming “stress and anxiety” for the break up, the kindly face of Match of The Day has been wiling away the long afternoons, glistening with baby oil, enjoying endless lovemaking sessions with the latest woman he intends to stress out - Danielle Bux. The pair have recently been spotted holding hands on a sunny beach wearing little bikinis and trunks. Very stressful.

Here’s what we know about Bux:

1. Back in her normal life, years before falling under the deeply alluring sexual spell of Gary, Danielle was living the high life as an air stewardess - reportedly serving drinks and calming down nervous passengers on Virgin Atlantic aeroplanes.

2. She has already dipped a toe into the football world, operating as a lower-tier WAG, by going out with Coventry City and Swindon Town centre back Adam Willis. He’s now retired to become a PE teacher, and the pair had a little baby together. Shortly after a hideous injury cut short his career, she was off.

3. She has been described as a “model and rugby aficionado” who works/worked for a happy-clappy radio station called Southside Radio. Her job has mainly involved commentating on rugby matches, going at it hammer and tongs with the Scottish player Simon Danielli (wing), and travelling the country dressed as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. Hilarious!

4. Lineker better beware - according to the nation’s favourite right-wing newsletter (The Daily Mail), Bux might be a poisoned chalice. Ex-lover Willis refused to go into any detail about their seven-year love affair, but did say this: “Let’s put it this way, she hasn’t exactly got a good CV.” And something tells us he’s not talking about her actual CV - that must be pretty good (air hostess, radio experience, model, GCSEs etc…).
