Club owner’s son engages in some pub bull baiting

Ignoring security advice not to visit the Sandon public house near Anfield, Tom Hicks Jr decided to pop in for a pint following Saturday’s victory over Middlesbrough.

The club director and son of co-chairman Tom Hicks had the bright idea of sparking up a conversation about his father’s troubled reign, and somewhat predictably the patrons turned against him.

The hostile supporters spat in his direction and ‘showered him with lager’, before his security team whisked him away in a waiting car.
