In a poll carried out by The Spoiler last week, 55 per cent of you believed Newcastle’s dismal run of form would continue on Saturday. Let’s hope the correct 55 per cent put their life savings on it, as the Good Ship Keegan continued to sprout leaks when Blackburn came to town.

Without a league win in two and a half months, Newcastle leapfrogged Derby and Reading to become the league’s worst team (in terms of form) this weekend, and a trip to Anfield next weekend surely can’t make for many happy Geordies.
