It’s Spain’s number one F1 WAG!
If you thought Fernando Alonso’s relationship with ex-teammate Lewis Hamilton was tumultuous, then spare a thought for his on/off girlfriend Raquel del Rosario. The pair met at a Spanish radio station a few years back, and were rumoured to have cemented their love with marriage in 2006. This, however, was never confirmed and they have spent time apart on a few occasions since. At present, their relationship is less stable than Newcastle’s Premiership status, so maybe the stroppy Spaniard will be a little distracted come Sunday?
When she’s not dealing with Fernando’s tantrums, Raquel fronts Spanish pop-rockers El Sueño de Morfeo, or ‘The Dream of Morpheus’. Unfortunately, their songs aren’t dedicated to Laurence Fishburne’s character in The Matrix, but their Celtic tinged hits have been a huge success in her home country.

Man that girl is just as “weird” as the thing she has with champ Alonso, I lufff him (on&off track) but I think they’re ok (pity!)

Fernando and Raquel ARE married. He’s done many interviews were he refers to her as his wife. The official F1 website also refers to her as Mrs Alonso
