Italy, you’ve done it again
As the well-travelled among you will know, every single Italian woman in her twenties looks like this. And as if the gents in the boot-shaped nation aren’t treated to enough aesthetic pleasure when they leave their homes, they get to see twenty-five-year-old Giorgia Palmas in racy magazine shoots and on Striscia la notizia, the Italian equivalent of The Daily Show that satirises government corruption. Presumably, it is a show that never runs out of material.
On Striscia, Giorgia plays a ‘Velina’ - a bimbo-like character who performs short dance breaks in skimpy outfits (more on that later). Velinas are considered perfect companions for football players, which explains her position on the arm of Bologna’s Davide Bombardini.
The Sicilian WAG, who is rumoured to be expecting Davide’s baby, began her career of being ridiculously good looking in 2000, when she came second in the Miss World pageant.
Spoiler bonus: Italian television - as awesome as it is shameless and sexist.

Update: Giorgia Palmas is no longer on Striscia la Notizia (I think she left a couple of years ago). To the best of my knowledge she now presents cd:live (the Italian cd:uk). Giorgia was replaced as a velina by another WAG - Melissa Satta - Christian Vieri’s latest girlfriend
