And who will earn them?
On last night’s Match of the Day 2, the pundits decided that Manchester Utd would win the league with 86 points (Chelsea would get 85 and Arsenal 84). This would be the lowest tally for the Premier League winner since Manchester Utd totted up 83 points in 2002/03.
Adrian Chiles, Lee Dixon, Gavin Peacock and Gavin Peacock’s suave facial hair essentially based their decision on backing the favourite in each match and deciding the matches between the Big Four would end all square.
Personally, I think Manchester United will finish on a tally closer to the 92 maximum points available to them, and it’s just possible the Everton will throw a spanner in Arsenal and Chelsea’s works. But what do you think? have the BBC got it spot on? Votes and comments below, pretty please.

I think United will drop points to Arsenal and Chelsea. Their maximum I think is 86 points.

I think Chelsea will win it at 87 points. Ronaldo plays for a score in the first 45 mins. He hardly scores in the second half but his teammates still look up at him to score (check the records). If SAF will give a chance to the young boys (Anderson & Nani) they can save the day for ManU against Arsernal because that is the game that matters most now. Giggsy and Scholesy are far from the players they were. They would be best left out now. The ManU team doesn’t have a single reliable combination like the one between Beckham and Dwight Yorke (Watch 98/99 videos). Scoring of goals at ManU is not divided among all the players. Only two are looked upon to score. This is the difference between the 99 team and this one. In this one, imagine what would happen in the next few games if Ronaldo were to be injured? ManU is trudging on a fine tread and no one knows when it would break. There’s still a huge possibility that they finish the season without a trophy.
