In a spectacularly predictable turn of events, contract talks between Dimitar Berbatov and the people in suits who run Spurs have broken down. What “broken down” means is never clear, what is clear is that Berbatov can’t possibly be at Tottenham next term.
What was supposed to be a whopper of a year for Spurs - Lennon flying down the flank, Darren Bent joining the “best quartet of strikers in the land”, Berbs on fire - has turned into a massive let-down. The Carling Cup goes somewhere to soothing the pain, but it surely won’t be enough to keep hold of their best Bulgarian.
“There are seven or eight clubs in Europe that are interested,” honked his agent Emil Dantchev. Two of them most likely to be Man United and Chelsea.
But where should Berbatov go next year?
The big talk has always been Man United - could he really slot in with the Rooney/Ronaldo/Tevez triangle of trust?
Or should he stick to being a big fish in a small pond?

The only thing we’ve heard so far comes from his agent’s mouth. I think it’s far from certain that he’ll leave Tottenham, and a lot will depend on who Ramos can buy in the summer to persuade Dimi to stay.
As for where he’ll go? Either Milan club, Madrid or Citeh. Utd don’t need him, Chelsea don’t suit him, and if he goes to Arsenal, he’ll get shot.

to be honest if berba goes i cant see us selling him to a premiership team… specially citeh, thats a big step backwards.. they aren’t in champs league which is wat his agent says he wants 2 play in and they’re nit even in europe.. lets hope ramos can buy the players that will persude berba too stat

I’ve heard Berba’s going to Barcelona or Arsenal as the first big splash of the summer from Wenger. Berba’s agent - who is an important voice in this Tomst - has said he ‘respects’ Wenger.

Haven’t we heard this from his agent in July and January. Why is he suddenly credible? Well there’s always gullible people who beleive poor would-be scribblers. cut and paste is the vogue again. Sad….

Any proper club would be lucky to have him.
The Spurs are like a bloke with a small cock, they’re never going to be able to hang on to the real quality..

If Ronaldhino does join Spurs then I cannot see Berbs leaving the club. He’ll want to play with him in the side and achieve that coveted third/fourth place next season. He’ll be only 29 when Spurs play in the Champions league during season 2009/10.
