There is no time to rest in football. Ferguson might have been dancing on the tables last night, but he’d have been back at his desk this morning with a muesli bar from a garage to plan how to best inflict pain on others come August.
Today’s transfer rumours read like this:
Dimitar Berbatov to Manchester United
Wow, where did this one come from? Who knew that Berbs wanted to leave? Might it have something to do with his agent demanding that he leave? As things stand United are front-runners, with Ferguson after a mature football mind to spearhead his attack. But there have also been increasingly fervent whispers echoing in from Barcelona insisting that he can go there if he wants to. Sir Alex will have to be at his most charming and flirtatious to bag this puppy. So to speak.
Samuel Eto’o to Inter Milan
More bad news Spurs. Apparently Inter are set to stroll up to the Barca striker and casually ask whether he’d like to join the Italian champions or the eleventh best Premier League side.
Jose Boswinga to Chelsea
They may have lost out to Man United in the title race, but Chelsea are ready to deal a massive psychological rabbit punch by pipping them to the signing of this young Portuguese defender. Needless to say, that’s the Man United party totally ruined.
Nicolas Anelka to Liverpool
He hasn’t really done much at Chelsea, and Liverpool look likely to lose Peter Crouch this summer. Two plus two equals…
Bobby Zamora to the scrapheap
Zamora is lifelong West Ham fan who scored the goals that got them promoted and kept them up last season. He can go now.
In other news, Michael Owen could be Man United bound, Yaya Toure is rumoured to be joining his brother Kolo at Arsenal, and Man City fans might yet be soothed by the arrival of a certain Jose Mourinho….

This is probably bollocks… but who cares?
If ‘Berbs’ goes… ’so be it’!
At least We wont have to see/hear that greedy bastard agent of his (Emil ‘the kyke’ Dantchev) anymore.
I am not interested in Eto’o, Villa or any ‘has been’ brazilians of extortionate value.
However… Klass jan Huntelaar is young, knows; where the goal is (33 goals in 34 games for Ajax) and is priced around the £16m mark.
If that is not an amazing bargain… I dont know what is!!!

yes deano is a cunt, a true yido wouldn’t cal his agent a kyke
anyway if this article seriously thinks anelka is gna leave chelsea for liverpool even though he said he is retiring there, and even tho he has only been there 6 months and even tho shevchenko and potentially drogba are on there way out is a fukin moron.
and berbatov will go sulk at barca where they love that kind of attitude…. give bent a chance i say look how many times he netted at charlton, we shuld concentrate on getting a decent defence, defensive mid, left mid and goalie before we look for another over priced striker when we have 2 quality ones left
