What’s this? A winger linked with Real Madrid?
Hleb has hardly pledged himself to Wenger and Arsenal since all the speculation about his future kicked off in the closing stages of the season. Instead, he’s chosen to bury his head firmly in the sand, and leave all the talking to his agent, Uli Ferber.
That was a pretty bad move - first Ferber attempted to quash any potential problems by insisting that Arsenal fans shouldn’t feel bad if he choses to go, it’s just that he hates London. Everyone assumed he’d be off to Inter. But now he’s alluded to a move Spainward.
“For any player in the world, it is always a great honour when a club like Real Madrid is interested,” he declared, slamming his fist down onto an oak table.
That is, of course, an agents way of shooting a flare into the sky and yelling at Mr Calderon to come and get him.
Hleb and Ronaldo providing the width for Madrid next season?

Three years with no trophies; three years of Hleb scoring 6 goals, playing 8 decent games (6 in europe until a really big one) - good riddance. Wenger, you cant build a team around the weird, inconsistent talent of Hleb.
