It’s a sad day for open-top bus manufacturers
Oh great, say those middle class enough to support Man United, the Scots have ruined everything. And they’re right. It was all looking so brilliant a couple of weeks ago - the Premier League was pretty much in the bag, things looked promising for Europe - hence the lion’s share of United fans were busy booking their flights up to Manchester to enjoy a good old fashioned open top bus street party.
But no. Thanks to those brutes from the northern most point of the kingdom, Manchester police have deemed any kind of football celebration totally illegal - at least until after they’ve finished clearing up the blood, sludge and goo left over from the Rangers fans UEFA Cup final party/riot.
As everyone knows, there is absolutely no point in winning anything in football unless you’re allowed to parade about town in a huge bus shouting about it afterwards. Shame on you, the law. Thanks a lot.

Try blaming all the English soccer thugs who attach themselves to Rangers where ever they go, an estimated 200,000 fans descended on Manchester that day with 42 arrests only 11 of whom have been charged

Actually the parade was cancelled weeks ago, at the behest of GMP, but why let the facts get in the way of a good anti -Scottish story, particularly as the ringleaders of the trouble in Manchester last week wore no football colours and spoke with ENGLISH ACCENTS.
Funny that, but I guess it doesn’t sit comfortably with your own prejudices.

What a load of rubbish! It’s down to Manchester council. Im pretty sure they could allow an open bus parade through the city. It’s not as if there would be trouble. ‘Brutes from the north’ yes ok well try watching videos on youtube and we’ll see where these brutes really come from.
Read this from News of The World.

Quote
“Today we can reveal that hooligan firms from all over England flocked to Manchester for the game — many of them known to cops and subject to football banning orders…Troublemakers from Leicester City, Birmingham City, Oxford United, Millwall, Stockport County, Sheffield Wednesday and Chelsea were all involved in the rioting.
Hooligans attached to both Manchester sides — City and United — also helped trash their own city while battling cops AND Gers fans.”
Oh but i forgot you don’t hear about that because you all want to blame Rangers fans.

exactly you can shove this article where the sun dont shine as obviously they dont know what went on. we didnt hear al over the news about all the english hooligans who put on the gracious rangers shirt and fuelled all the trouble that happened in manchester. and in the above comment he states the amount of arrests and charges, thats one hell of a good statistic for 200,000 people who went to manchester drinking all day and all night who were firstly told ‘do not come to manchester’ in a weak attempt to stop the blue invasion even though they wanted the final. manchester police and council were not prepared whatsoever despite warnings of well over 100,000 fans will be there without a doubt. completely manchesters fault aswell as the english thugs who thought it was a good idea to give rangers a bad name by causing all the trouble.

This is total fabrication……..The decision was made by GMP and MCC prior to the UEFA cup final not to have an open top parade for Man Utd. This FACT has been printed in Manchester Evening News. What happened with the Rangers fans has played no part in this You can thank the police and council for spoiling your party. They were originally blaming Rangers fans for this is due to the fact they dont know how to organise a party in a safe environment with appropriate facilities….as for blaming the Scots thats bullshit, there were fans from most english clubs present in the fanzones with a £10 UEFA final T-shirt trying to blend in….

Dont worry about it. At least Manchester city council thought about providing a parade for Utd. Rangers were told by the fenian loving Celtic supporting council that there was no chance of a parade if we won the cup. Bad sportsmanship through and through.
7 Andy // May 23, 2008 at 2:24 pm
The (potential) parade was cancelled before the UEFA Cup final, therefore it had nothing to do with the Rangers supporters. But why let that get in the way of a good lie?

Please do not lump all Scottish people in the same bag of shite that is rangers fans. Nobody in Scotland likes the rangers fans, their team or what they stand for. Any other Scottish team can go abroad or even down south and cause no trouble, look at what Celtic did in Seville…80,000 fans, not one arrest on match day and even received an award from uefa and fifa for having the best fans in the world.
9 Shaun // May 23, 2008 at 3:05 pm
It doesnt matter what accents they had they where all rangers fans. They are a bunch of secterian, racist animals who should stop trying to blame everyone else.
10 Gordon // May 23, 2008 at 3:07 pm

Iain ahh they all love the celtic shit erm need i remind you of the lighters thrown at refs their windows smashed the hiring of a private eye to find out the religion of a ref before a old firm game ,you all had this big massive chip on your shoulders that everyone hated you now its went in reverse you all think every one likes you yeah right and please check footage again of the uefa riots the amount of non scarf or anything to with rangers that were fighting think manchesters not got a gang problem or something easy way to get their own back isnt it ,and as for the council banning the parade with the cup sod all to do with rangers only reason they didnt allow it is because they made a total arse of the uefa cup final easy cop out no pun intended isnt it
15 BillyGoBackwards // May 23, 2008 at 5:02 pm
Shit trueblue that was hard work. Have you ever heard of full stops?.
There is no point having a go at celtic fans, it was not them in manchester, it was rangers fans. You say thats it wasn’t true rangers fans, if so then why do they always go to your matches for trouble?. Until rangers as a club stops blaming everyone else and admits that they have a serious problem with section of their fans it will happen again and again.
Do you honestly think that this will be the last time you all have to come sites like this and pass the buck for your fans causing trouble? No chance!.

How sad the Huns really are as they inflated the numbers of travellig fans (just down the road, not across Europe) to Manchester to out do ourjourney to Seville. The Woldwde Rangers Family are desceding upon Manchester for a Party as the cry !
As soon as the Rioting started, these people were no longer part of the Rangers Family . What aload of trash.
Scotland’s Shame, shown upfor what they are !!!
We were welcomed to the chase….. you know the rest. Stand up for the Champions !!!!!
