Netherlands/ Italy, Euro 2008 Group C, 7.45pm, ITV1, bet here

In addition to their reputation as divers, cheats, boring and old, Italy are known for being slow-starters when it comes to the big tournaments - a strange fact considering they have won their opening game at three of their last four international tournaments. Today they’ll make it four out of five. Here’s why:
1. Italy have not suffered defeat in their last ten competitive fixtures, winning nine and drawing one.
2. And they have won seven of their last eight international outings, scoring two or more on all but one occasion.
3. Italy have have not lost their opening fixture in the last three European Championships.
4. Holland have twice been beaten in their last four competitive outings - against Belarus and Romania in qualifying.

Four reasons Holland beat Italy:
1. van Nistelrooy
2. Sneijder
3. van Bronckhorst
4. van der Sar.
Greetings from Holland!!!

And in response to number three. Holland has not lost a first game in the EC since 1988. So much for your reasoning.
And what a fantastic game it was.
And to stop the argument about the first goal. There was an italian player outside the lines. His own fault. Should have walked over to the sideline. And BTW was a could compensation for the penalty Holland should have had when Buffon hit van Nistelrooij.

When you boldly give 8 reasons why Italy will beat Holland, the next thing to say should be:
sorry Holland, I’m obviously not as competent as I thought and I’ll never make such predictions again in my life.
For now, Orange Rules!

Erm, did anyone see that before the game even Zenden thought Holland didn’t stand a chance. There will always be the odd surprise, I think they got all the other matches right so far though in fairness.

Stick to porn and betting, leave soccertalk to the pro’s, cream cookies…
Whats next?
Angola stands a great chance in the next World Cup. Here’s 2 reasons why :
- They won once upon a time against Togo
- The never won before, so their number must be up now
Place your bets….
