Scolari wants every single big name player in the world, apparently

The newspapers should just ‘fess up and admit it - they haven’t a clue who which players Luiz Felipe Scolari would like to bring to Chelsea. Naturally, they have all assumed the Brazilian will want to load the squad with his fellow countrymen - The Sun fancy Ronaldinho to come for £20m and £120k a week (a damn site cheaper than the supposed Manchester City asking price), while The Guardian believe Kaka will be strolling over to West London, in exchange for a £60m slice of Abramovich’s bottomless kitty.
The Guardian also claims that Fernando Torres could become subject to Big Phil’s fiery temper next year - the unlikely move could ease Liverpool’s financial woes, but the Kop faithful would probably sooner burn a couple of Americans at the stake than let their prettyboy striker go. That said, the Spanish press linked him with a move to Chelsea over a month ago.
Not wanting to be left out in all the madness, middle England housewives’ favourite The Daily Mail have waded in by suggesting that Franck Ribery is also ‘flattered by their formal approach’.
Other players linked with the club since Scolari’s arrival include Barcelona’s Deco and Samuel Eto’o, and also Spurs target David Villa.
For a man who is currently engrossed in the process of winning a European Championships and has only been formally linked with Chelsea for two days, this seems like an awful lot of transfer inquiries.
So which rumours do you believe? Let us know who you think will be at The Bridge next season with a comment below.

Has anyone put 2 and 2 together and thought of Cristiano Ronaldo changing over to Chelski? He may well be tempted to link up with Scolari and i think if the money’s right he’d go anywhere, mercenary!

I agree, there’s got to be close to £200M worth of talent there, and for a guy who has only just agreed to manage Chelski, he’s been quick off the mark. It’s a load off blks, the media have all jumped on the band wagon and decided who Scolari or, should I say Abramovic wants to sign! I’m suprised that Ronaldo, Messi, Robinho and Quaresma are missing off the shopping list!

What a load of rubbish, Scolari won’t sign Ronaldinho because he’s not his type of player. He’s similar to Mourinho in that he doesn’t like having “Galacticos” at his Club which could prove a problem if Abramovich is intent on turning Chelsea into a marketing gimmick. I could see Deco going there, Messi wont leave Barca, Robinho could go anywhere, Villa is a possibility as is Ribery but Torres is a definative “No” from both player and Club.

Afterall, with England not making it to the Euro2008 competition, it’s not like they’ve got much else to print.

If all these los galaticos can be captured by Chelsea then the sky is our limit. i mean Quadruple!
7 head in the clouds // Jun 13, 2008 at 11:55 am
Oh…. and just to be complete, please could the press also link Pele, Maradonna, Cruyff, Van Basten and Beckenbauer for shock moves to play for the new galacticos?! Obviously the Euro’s aren’t keeping the footy journo’s busy (or interested) enough for them to keep clear of lazy speculation. And coming off of the bench for Villa - none other than Jesus!!

What a lot of shit.
CSKA Fulham are trying to do a Real Madrid and unsettle players to ease transfers, it’s so transparent and pathetic.
I reckon that Russian twat might be trying to put off certain big players so that Russia don’t get made to look like such a bag of jizz in the Euro’s as well.

To Mr/Mrs/Ms lololol
You are gay People sign to Chelsea because of the money and who they are which is a great team. No doubt money is a factor people say they come to Chelsea JUST for money but if, Derby County,Birmingham,WBA had the money Chelsea had i dont think every good player would be linked there because they are crap, players come to Chelsea because they are good!
