The Spoiler

Tomorrow’s headlines today…

As another Monday draws to a close, we look around and evaluate what we’ve learned. Blake Fielder-Civil, the man responsible for nurturing Amy Winehouse, has finally realised that monkeying around with the law means one thing - chokey. And tomorrow, you might be learning a little about this kind of stuff…

English football no longer fashionable
It’s not just North London that is losing its sex appeal, it’s all of London, what with its silly knife crime and fragrant crack smoking. Take Samuel Eto’o - his agent has been heard grunting about how the striker is going to say a big “NO WAY” to both Chelsea and Tottenham, he wants to stay in Barcelona instead, and little Robinho from Real Madrid would rather risk lugging Cristiano Ronaldo’s spare boots around next season than move to the new capital of street robbery. How come, guys?

Wenger slaps Real Madrid on the wrist
Arsene Wenger took a break from selling all of his players to tell the club’s magazine that evil foreign teams are just, well, evil. “You can destabilise any player in the world - that is irresponsible,” he groaned. “These are big clubs that should be setting an example to others.”

Presumably these comments were made before he starting questioning Andrei Arshavin’s ability to perform at the top level?

What does questioning a player’s ability to perform have anything to do with tapping up players?

I think this bloke must have had a row with his girlfriend today or something. I hope he hasn’t got a cat or he has probably given that a good kicking as well by now.

The only crime problem in London is that people have to read utter rubbish like this article. 1st class crapp.

  • 9 Jermaine // Jul 21, 2008 at 5:58 pm

wait,so in every other city in this world there is no knife crime and crack smoking? well then, all this killing and stuff must be made up.
what the hell has that got to do with football players- who have that much money they don’t even have to go out to the streets-or with anything sane for that matter?!

and damn right Wenger spoke the truth! but i really wish that slimeball-diver ronaldo would go already so the next season i don’t have to watch his crying and whinging and diving! hell,if he can take rooney with him, that’d be great.
royal club my ass if they have to use things like that to get a player. there’s no sense of honor anymore…

‘Arsene Wenger took a break from selling all of his players…’ - haha, this was supposed to be sarcasm, right? oh,you joker! everyone said something like this when Henry left.. and what happened? Arsenal had an even better team.

and one more thing,Wenger doubted arshavin’s quality before russia even played their last euro2008 game.

so if you already haven’t,go smoke some fragrant crack with amy whine-fuckin-house,cuz dude,i don’t think you’re feeling well.

haha, how wound up are you guys getting over this? its supposed to be taken in a humourous context, you may not find it funny but thats your own opinion, if you dont like it why the fuck do you read it?

“Presumably these comments were made before he starting questioning Andrei Arshavin’s ability to perform at the top level?”
Not 100% but pretty sure I read when that was first released that the quote was said in a private conversation to another manager, obviously a clear attempt to destabilize. Oh, and do you really get paid to type this crap? Good on you if you do. But you probably had a goal in mind of being a real journalist that stood for something when you were younger… instead you just rehash other peoples stories or make up completely false ones.

I don’t think the article is accusing Wenger of tapping anyone up. He is speaking about big clubs setting an example and questioning a player in that way was unprofessional and if Wenger really is interested in signing him as Zenit claim then it’s perhaps worse than anything Calderon has done in his Ronaldo pursuit, cause at least Calderon hasn’t tried to lower the player’s value. I’m pretty sure the article is only pointing out the slight hypocrisy in that statement by Wenger.

    Not a very informed opinion.
