‘English legend’ is responsible for ‘greatest goal ever’, apparently
Darren Huckerby has just signed up for MLS team San Jose Earthquakes, and its safe to say that KRON 4 (a news channel, not a distant alien planet) are quite excited. The 32 year old from the ‘Norfolk team’ may have scored just five Championship goals last season, but that doesn’t stop the interviewer using the term ‘legend’ three times in the first 25 seconds.
Huckerby, clearly embarrassed by this over-stated praise, failed to score in his debut against Toronto last week.

used to live in the bay area and hated this guy. he’s even more of a wanker now than he was then (looks like he maybe had a bit too much to drink before going on air).
did you catch the “ROLANdinho” reference?

haha Poor journalism, pouring more shite into American minds. That stupid talk you get on QVC channels “Go online check him out!” how many will while they sat in there armchairs. Who will notice Norwich are shit and are in a league below and do nothing. But no, somewhere you’ll see a video of Darrens greatest goals only and American fans will be so excited, then let down, because Daz is getting on a bit.

Darren Huckerby - a legend - hmm…
maybe to Norwich fans, but then again, every club will have a player they’d call ‘a legend’, so that doesn’t really say much lol
Was that interviewer being sarcastic with all the legend stuff? He mustve been lol
If they call Huckerby a legend, Id love to see their reaction if someone like Rooney or Gerrard signed up for the MLS :P That interviewer actually would wet himself with excitement

Could have been a legend if it wasn’t for the fact he’s one of the biggest bottlers and underachievers in league football over the last 15 years.

Don’t joke. He is the greatest sports host ever.
