Finally, Robbie Keane leaves Tottenham for Liverpool

In a world of no transfers, one man defied the law…

Spurs fans, you might want to look away - here’s Robbie Keane cheerfully hanging about at Liverpool’s training ground, having completed his medical, and scrawled his signature on numerous pieces of paper. The deal, they say, has finally be done for around £18 million.

On the upside for the people of White Hart Lane, with Keane gone, might Berbatov now stay in North London? Surely Ramos wants to keep hold of at least one decent striker?

Anyone who just thought “Darren Bent” should go and wash their brains out with soapy water.

To be honest, Keane has given us some wonderful performances during his not too short stint at the lane. He is not responsible for Defoe’s departure as some would love to put it (Commoli, the idiot who bought Bent…for 16 million is) HOWEVER, I’m not British, or Irish for that matter, I’m not Blind, I would take 18 million for him anytime. Good business Spurs. Any one from Anelka,to Arshavin, to Villa will easily replace Keane. Infact, Spurs should just add the Money from Chimbonda,Robinson and Tainio and get as Eto’o. Its about football guys and Eto’o will win any day over a Robbie Keane…. Bye Keane.

Good luck to him theres no point being bitter about him leaving, he has so lets just take it! I am pissed off but there is nothing anyone can do about it happening. Thats our problem we worry more about other clubs than we do ourselves!!

Honestly gd luck Keano u will be missed m8!

It’s a shame, but he worked really hard, model professional, and has handled this whole situation impeccably. Good luck to him, I’m sure he’ll get a good reaction on his return. The real test is what we spend the money on.

This is the saddest day of my live. I must clear my cupboards of cups, my bed of Robbie, my clock, my wallpaper at work and my slippers. :’(

It’s a great move for Liverpool, but a bit of a waste of a great talent.

Keane will never dislodge Torres as the number one striker, And after finally finding a formation that suited the majority of his squad with Torres upfront alone, I think it’s a safe bet to say Keane will have to get used to the bench.
