Today’s transfer rumours, gossip and damned lies
It’s being reported in today’s Guardian that Chelsea and Real Madrid have agreed a fee of £28.6 million for Robinho. Considering the Brazilian has already stated his desire to join the Blues, we could find ourselves in the unusual situation of actually a seeing a transfer follow weeks of speculation - eat your heart out Ronaldo, Lampard, Adebayor and Barry sagas!
Shaun Wright-Phillips is spoilt for choice
It looks like Chelsea’s unloved winger is ready to follow the Robinho example, too. For a long time, Portsmouth were favourites to sign Wright-Phillips but then they realised they had no money, so it’s either Everton or Manchester City who will welcome SWP into their family.
The Spoiler Truth-o-meter: Both represent good career moves but his glorious Manchester City past may see him lean towards them
Roman Pavlyuchenko to Spurs
It’s no secret that Spurs are in desperate need of a new striker after selling Robbie Keane and potentially losing Dimitar Berbatov, but everyone thought it was going to be Pavlyuchenko’s versatile buddy Andrei Arshavin. But both the player and his club Spartak Moscow have confirmed that the less hyped Russian is on his way to White Hart Lane.
The Spoiler Truth-o-meter: He shone at Euro 2008 without receiving the massive attention Arshavin got so could prove a worthwhile addition
Stephen Appiah to West Ham
The board have decided that the best way to prove that they aren’t undermining Alan Curbishley is to deprive him of one of his star defenders and then, instead of worrying about silly things like replacing him, sign a midfielder instead.
The Spoiler Truth-o-meter: Even though a new defender would appear a more pressing issue, Appiah would be a good signing.

Idiot. Pavlyuchenko & Arshavin play for Zenit St Petersburg, not Spartak Moscow. Do the proper research ass clown

Thanks for your comments, David.
Unfortunately your constructive criticism is a little misguided, as Pavlyuchenko has played for Spartak Moscow since 2003.
