Man needs calculator…
Once again, Peter Kenyon has proved his worth as one of the lord God’s most unnecessary creations by insisting that Shevchenko might even have been a good bit of business for Chelsea.
“I’m not giving a lesson in accountancy,” he grumped, “but you do write money off over the term of a contract.”
It’s an interesting point. But, unfortunately, even without one of his important accountancy lessons, we can’t help but sense some slightly bad business in the sum below:
£28.1 million (Veron to United)
+ £7.5 million (Forlan to United)
+ £7 million (Smith to United)
+ £5.9 million (Kleberson to United)
+ £3.5 million (Djemba-Djemba to United)
+ £12.8 million (Saha to United)
+ £8 million (Tiago to Chelsea)
+ £8 million (Del Horno to Chelsea)
+ £21 million (Wright-Phillips to Chelsea)
+ £7 million (Boulahrouz to Chelsea)
+ £13.5 million (Malouda to Chelsea)
+ £30 million (Shevchenko to Chelsea)
= Whoops!

Sheva was Chelsea’s top scorer last season goals
per minute played way ahead of Frank Lampard
who was next best.

It’s sad the internet gives a voice to writers of drivel of articles like this. Sad.

Liam, if he was that great then why did Chelsea never play him? A guy can score one goal every ten minutes but if he only gets paid for half an hour a season then that doesn’t mean the club are getting their £30 millions worth.

DUDE, YOUR ARTICLE STINKS…
THE PLAYERS WERE IDENTIFIED BY THE MANAGER, KENYON BROUGHT THEM IN AT THE PRICES THE PLAYERS CLUBS QUOTED
DONT BLAME HIM IF THE PLAYERS FLOPPED…
