On today’s proof, he’s totally fiiiine….
Yes people, on the very same day that old man Beckham is likely to be staggering around the midfield for England against the mighty Croatians, “crocked” Steven Gerrard has been spotted enjoying a competitive training session at Liverpool HQ.
Seems Sherwood might be right after all.

I may be wrong but I think it is called . . . rehabilitation, unlike the Rios, Terrys, Lampards of the world who after being injured and not able to play for England, can jump straight out of bed on matchday after an international and play for their repective clubs without criticism.

Londoner, how can you possibly argue that point when it looks like Gerrard is going to do the exact same thing you accuse ‘the Rios, Terrys, Lampards of the world’ of doing?

I think Gerrard did actually have an operation, two in fact, so perhaps there are differences.

Gerrard, consistantly englands best performer, gets messed around by successive england managers, abused by the fans on moan-ins and blogs like this and called irresponsible and careless by jounalists on programmes like the Sunday supplement. why should he care about england? and we should we, who are mocked for failing to mount a title challenge, wish to see our best player pull his plumbs off for you ingrates and then be unable to perform for us? as the song goes… we`re not english we are scouse!

He is doing ball work with the physio - as opposed to playing 5 a-side.

redscouse, do you really believe that Steven Gerrard is “consistantly englands best performer”? It’s like saying that Degen was Switzerland’s best player at the Euros or that Pepe Reina was the reason Spain were crowned champions!

Upminster you could add Rooney top scorer for England and W.Brown the best right back in the world

So, who was it that pulled England out of the fiasco against Andora last year, you fart! Upminster? You must be a Manure fan! Or are you just plain dumb. Owen you must be Upminster’s mate from the Dumb and Dumber movie! Stevie has been one of the best performers for the England team for the past few years. I am surprised that this would be debated by anybody who knows anything about football.

U funny magnumopus. My comments for Upminster was ironic. As for u if u mention Andora game as a football match then u r The Dumbest.By the way Stevie G is the best English player at the moment.Oooops sorry. The Dumbest is Fabio Capello who plays with Stevie in the left wing????

He gets targetted when he is on the pitch and playing for England and when he can not whilst recovering from a operation, he gets attacked again. The lad can not win. I dont want him to play for England, I want him rested and playing for the club. It is much more important than playing for a so called country team managed by a non Englishman

dont know if you`re still out there upminster iron but if you are lad I have to say lad your missing the point; we really dont give a shite! Oh what bullshit I’m pretty sure he’s allowed some practice time before jumping into a WC qualifier. The fact that he’s not playing against Man U this weekend? Oh he must not want to play for his club either. Please.

I take it all back. In future could Steven ‘consistently England’s best performer - he scored twice against Andorra’ Gerrard miss more England games. The side don’t seem to play too badly without him. Even ‘that super firework wayne the non scoring forward’ scored.
