There might not be a Sky Sport’s super-duper Grand Slam Sunday this season but this pretty enormous Saturday is probably the closest thing to it. In the morning, Liverpool face Manchester United and then, at half five, the two richest clubs in the Premier League - Robinho’s new club and the team Robinho actually wanted to join - go head-to-head. Here’s why chickendinner believe the original success buyers are going to come out on top:
1. Chelsea are the only team in the country that haven’t lost a league game in 2008.
2. The Blues have won their last four league away games and comfortably had the best away record in the league last season - winning thirteen of their nineteen games.
3. Manchester City have beaten Chelsea in just one of their previous eleven home games against them in the Premier League - although that win was the first loss of Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea career.
4. Even more worryingly, the Citizens have scored just one goal in their last six home games against Chelsea. Even then, that goal was a penalty scored by Nicolas Anelka, who now plays for the Blues.
5. Home and away, City haven’t scored in any of their last seven meetings with Chelsea and have only managed one goal in the last 12 encounters.
6. Mark Hughes’ record against his former club while managing Blackburn was no better. Rovers only managed one goal in eight league games against the Blues - winning one, drawing one and losing six.
7. Manchester City have won just three of their last eleven league games at the City of Manchester Stadium.
8. Chickendinner has also predicted that Liverpool will beat Manchester United. In three of Manchester City’s eleven Premier League seasons, Liverpool have beaten United at Anfield - on each of those occasions, Chelsea have won away at Man City.
9. Chelsea have followed seven of their last eight Premier League draws with victories.

well chelsea should win seems how city are yet to buy many superstars Honestly these ppl expect city to be a top4 team this season (while this is possible city fans are happy with top6) this match shouldnt get the billing it has til city have had a chance to sign a few quality players so if chelsea beat us so what b4 we got these arabs and robinho we would of expected chelsea to beat us and 1 player doenst make a whole lot of difference but im sure next season we will wipe the floor and our arses with you

Yes I might agree agree with you. But wouldn’t you lot look a bunch of twats if Chelsea got beat.
