Another Blues legend is off to Upton Park
Chelsea’s assistant first-team coach Steve Clarke resigned last night in order to join Gianfranco Zola at West Ham, according to The Times.
The article claims that the Scot, who is very popular with English players John Terry, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole, is fed up after seeing his role diminish since the departure of Jose Mourinho.
West Ham’s technical director Gianluca Nani said: “We hope the situation will be resolved in the next 24 hours.”
In recent years Chelsea fans have mockingly labelled West Ham as their “feeder club” after Lampard, Cole and Glen Johnson moved west - have the roles now reversed?
UPDATE: Chelsea are reportedly demanding £1.2 million in compensation for Clarke, which seems like a huge amount of money to pay for an assistant manager. What do Chelsea need that money for anyway?

Chelsea can sod off, if Clarke resigned it has nothing to do with west ham and no liability towards any compensation. Probably need that for the next week’s interest they owe Abramovich on the loans he’s given them.
