Um, Roman, are you sure?
If all the money in the world can only get you as far as Ray Wilkins as the assistant first team coach at Chelsea, then this dramatic credit crunch malarkey is turning into a financial apocalypse. As a player, he was fantastic - especially for fans of the sideways pass - but since his days on the pitch, his only notable success was on that Tango advert with the fat orange guy slapping people.
As player/manager he plundered QPR out of the Premier League in 1995/96. He was sacked by Al Fayed at Fulham in favour of his number two, Kevin Keegan. Along with Vialli, he was given the boot from both Chelsea (2000) and Watford (2002), and when disgusting Dennis Wise made his way out of Millwall, Wilkins wasn’t far behind.
Is this really the man to help guide an exciting Scolari team? Leave a comment…

I think Ray will be good for the Blues. May not be the best coach or manager in the world, but he loves chelsea and has a good knowledge of the game. The team probably need someone like him in there just so its not all a foreign contingent, and there is some of the old regime back in there. Carefree.
