No doubt Ramos spent last night washing the sweat from his thick, lustrous hair - it’s been a deeply worrying start to the season. But after a sturdy victory in Europe the White Hart Lane faithful, buoyed and hopeful, will be expecting more of the same against Wigan. If only the omens weren’t so bad. Last year, they only won one of their five league matches following victories in the UEFA Cup.
