UEFA’s President isn’t a fan of the Arsenal boss
Michel Platini has launched an attack on Arsene Wenger for being careful with money and supporting video replays of questionable decisions.
The comments, made in Dauphine Libere, couldn’t have come at a more inopportune time: Wenger’s financial prudence is widely admired in the current economic climate, and the calls for video replays have been propelled by the Watford debacle.
Platini said:
“I like to talk about football, him [Wenger] about business. We must stop with Wenger and all that.”
The Frenchman added that he hopes video assistance never comes into football:
“It would make me happy that Arsene Wenger never sees it.”
Apparently concerned that he hadn’t made it clear he was targeting Wenger, he made another bizarre comment when discussing CFR Cluj’s shock win away to Roma in the Champions League:
“That is what makes football so great. It is what people like Wenger do not want, little clubs beating the big clubs, because they want their business.”
The Spoiler believes a potential reason why Platini has launched a random attack on his compatriot is that he sees Wenger as a threat to the UEFA presidency when he eventually leaves Arsenal. After all, the 58-year-old would be a popular choice considering he has managed in many countries, speaks his mind and believes in attacking football and the importance of academies.

What a jealous git Platini is, he’s afraid when Wenger retires from managment he will take his job and do a MUCH MUCH better job (which is true). He was supposed to be breath of fresh air after he beat that other fool to the UEFA presidency, but he has just made matters worse. And it pains me as a Frenchman myself to see Platini make such a fool of himself. Whatta shame!! It’s probably the reason why we are always hard done by in the CL when it comes to ‘important desicions’ (Dirk Cunt’s penalty last season, to name just ONE.) COME ON WENGER win the CL and put that fool to bed.

What a Cunt! Why did he never complain bout other youth developing club? If Arsenal stop developing young talent, who will? Better earn money than give it away. No wonder Platini looks so dumb recently, his brain shrinking again…

It seems that Arsenal have an Arsene in charge while UEFA just have an ARSE.
Platini should shut up until he has any idea how to help euro football progress, instead of just sniping. He is the bitch of the continental teams who hate to see any English club doing well.
If Platini concentrated on cleaning up the game he would go down as a hero (even though he would lose the flow of brown envelopes to his back pocket).

By going against the use of video<platini could be making a fool of himself. the speed of the game has taken a quantum leap since his days as a player.
uefa shodl kick him out for his stand on the use of video. Alternantively he could push for the use of more match officials one at the goal to verify the ball has crossed the line.we shd have two linesmen on either side of the pitch and finally one on e in the penalty area to ensure that those who grabbed the opposing players can be spotted as well as other penalty offences.
These measures would ensure fair play and ensure the more skilful and attacking team will prevail.
