Who’s going to keep Ferds company at the back?

JT

Don’t pity JT, he’ll be fine. Lampsie will take him grapes and talk him through the match afterwards, but until then, there is the small problem of who can replace him at the back. Rio will make for a good skipper, should he put his “merking” to one side for a couple of hours, but who should partner him? Club mate Brown? Wotsisface from West Ham? Or Lescott?

If The Spoiler were in charge, Carragher would be snorting, hacking and spluttering down the phone by now - don’t worry, that’s just the way he says “yes” to coming out of international retirement.

    If you think Carragher was EVER international class, then you should be made to watc Cricket.

    Lescottmade an absolute mess of his previous incarnations as an England payer (Playing left back,but shoul have been left bck at home!)

    Wossisname is OK but not really international class

    Wes Brown? F*** ME ! Are we that desperate????

    Whre are the likes of Woodgate, Dawson, Ferdinand Jnr, Davis, anyone but Wes F***ing Brown!!!!!

    By Dawson do you mean the guy who is helping to relegate Spurs or his brother who is third in the league with Hull?

    Of the players you named I’d only take Anton over Upson (and I’d love to see the Ferdinands play for England together!) but with Upson being a leftie, a partnership of him and Rio offers good balance.

    Have you actually ever seen Anton play?? Anyone rating him over Upson does not know what they are talking about. He was the worst of the bunch of CB’s at West Ham and we were well rid of him. Upson has been consistent and deserves his place IMO.

    Wes Brown…not a chance
    Lescott…have you seen the guys dodgy barnet? He can’t be all there if he is prepared to look like that.
    As for Terry…couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke!

    Saying all that, do we really need ANYONE to partner Rio? 3-5-2 for me. Rio can take sort them out on his own

    surreyfox, you do know lescotts scars from a car crash injury?

    i hope you get hit by a bus and everyone you meet points and calls you degrading names, see how you like it. you don’t have the balls mate

    i would go for upson, capello seems to favour him after bringing him on the other game ahead of lescott
