Barcelona’s Bojan is starting to crack under La Liga pressure
If anyone wishes to see the dangers of thrusting a young footballer into the limelight too quickly, they should consider Barcelona’s eighteen-year-old sensation Bojan Krkić. The striker was called up to international duty before making the full Barca team, and last season broke Raul’s record for most goals in a debut season (ten).
However, he has made little impact this season, and ol’ Terry Henry replaced him during a match with Getafe on Sunday, the poor little chap burst into a flood of tears.
After complaints of illness and anxiety, it looks like the pressure is really getting to him.

The kid is just 18…I doubt any of us had been under any pressure in those years and he is playing in front of 100.000 people and who knows how many in front of TV, for one of the best football clubs in the world, knowing that he is not in his best form and that all of them are expecting more from him. It is not an easy task to cope with. Give him some space, he looks like a great kid, talented and with good manners.
