Deco insists he is not the subject of favouritism
Ever since Chelsea’s World Cup winning manager decided to substitute Michael Ballack and John Obi Mikel instead of an ailing Deco in the unconvincing home draw with West Ham last month, Chelsea message boards have been rife with the suggestion that the Brazilian-Portuguese midfielder is completely untouchable.
Speaking about his first six months in the capital to Brazilian newspaper Globo Esporte, Deco leapt to his own defence:
“I’ve won many trophies in football and none of them was with Felipe,” he said.
“I haven’t been on the bench many times in my career, I was a starter everywhere I’ve been and the coach was not Felipe. So I don’t need to give many explanations.
“When we came here everything was going well and everybody was saying that Felipe was the greatest, that the team was going to win everything. People exaggerate, and as the Brazilian saying goes, you go from eight to 80. That’s normal, and it’s the same here as in Spain or in Portugal.”
The midfielder also hinted that he is not particularly happy with life in London, by admitting he won’t stick around longer than he has to “I am very eager to return to living in Brazil,” and by omitting England from his list of places in the world he has loved living in.
By sticking with the midfielder regardless of performance and consistency, is Big Phil showing favouritism towards the chap with the big eyebrows? Once you finish admiring our incredible photoshopping skills, let us know what you think below…

Convincing Argument by Deco isn’t it? Wait, who are we trying to sell it too, the town clown or the mentally ill?
Sir Messner, do you really want an answer to your comment?
But deco has won many trophies? oh dear! deco obviously likes to take credit from others doesn’t he. I have hardly watched any barca games that were won because of Deco. being part of a winning team, doesn’t mean you are the winner, you could be the third wheel, much the case of deco, but sadly for british people, they are too stuck up on their teams to care to watch football abroad. hence they take deco to be a god, when he really is dog. same letters, just different meaning.
O deco wasn’t substituted? Here is some fact, neither was MIchael Ballack, the only player who has proved himself in the big stage and big games time and time again. But yet we continue glorifying decos and who’s next….Chelsea is simply bad business! but the way money come, that way it goes too. A pigeon can never be an eagle.

1. Stupid WUM article.
2. Hurry back Essien and start Deco on the Bench.
3. Paul, deco was making the point about being a starting line up player on those winning teams, NOT claiming that he won the trophies on his own, if you had read the full quote inclusing his preceeding comments you would have known this. It’s ironic that given this comment “much the case of deco, but sadly for british people, they are too stuck up on their teams to care to watch football abroad.” that YOU should then have your own cranium firmly imbedded in your rectum isn’t it?
