In case you were laying under a giant rock or holidaying with Amy Winehouse yesterday, let’s recap: Manchester City have offered a £100m to AC Milan for their Brazilian sensation Kaka, and are prepared to pay the player £500k per week for his services. The Rossoneri are said to have accepted the offer, but the one who belongs to Jesus has stalled, claiming he “wishes to grow old at the San Siro.”

Such a dignified attitude in the face of wheelbarrows full of cash is rare and commendable for a football player, but City haven’t given up, and reports today suggest Sheik Mansour himself will meet the player to try to change his mind.

The transfer fee is more than twice that paid for Zinedine Zidane in 2001, but if Kaka twice the player? Let us know if you think the 26-year-old World Cup and Champions League winner is worth the cash with a vote and comment below…
