Ex-Spurs boss admits he wanted to sell Berbs and Keane
Yesterday, Real Madrid manager Juande Ramos levelled some scathing accusations at his former employers, claiming his downfall at Tottenham was due to Daniel Levy’s greed:
“The club sold Berbatov and Keane and everything went down. They preferred money ahead of competitiveness.”
Today, however, the Spaniard has ever-so-slightly changed his tune:
“Daniel Levy did not sell these players to make money. They were sold for footballing reasons.”
We’re pretty sure this is what Ramos said - his words were a little muffled by the gigantic slice of humble pie he was tucking into at the time.
