Citizens want the Professor to take charge, say press source
Mark Hughes’ job appears to be safe for the remainder of the season, but if press speculation is to be believed, his presence at Eastlands next term is about as likely as an Alan Smith Mastermind victory.
Plenty of big name gaffers have been thrown into the hat, the latest of whom is Arsene “I’ve got a job for life” Wenger. The Mirror reports:
“The people who own City have a big respect for Arsene and what he has done at Arsenal.
“They do have the same respect for Jose Mourinho and have indicated that [Slaven] Bilic would be another option but Arsene is the man they want.”
City have yet to approach Wenger about the position, but he is understood to be “aware of the interest in his services”.
Leo Messi has already helped to enhance the Citizens’ laughing stock reputation today by rebuffing their advances - would they be setting themselves up for more embarrassing rejection by approaching Wenger, or do they have a genuine shot at landing the large-brained Frenchman? Let us know what you think below…

There are already too many big ego’s in Manchester… the likes of Ferguson, Ronaldo, Robinho, Bellami etc… how on earth would Wenger stand out amongst the crowd?
There’s no chance Wenger would join the Citizens… and if he does decide to leave Arsenal, he’d most likely go overseas, not to (of all places) City… regardless of the money thrown at him!

no way, the citeh people would tell him how much money he had to spend and his head would explode.
‘how much will you give me this year’
‘300 million pounds’
‘wow, I could buy every under 18 player in france’
‘but Arsene, we want superstars’
‘thats not good business, you’ll loose all your money’
trust me, Arsene cannot go to City
