Centre back posseses hilarious delusions of grandeur

Spurs stand dejected after leaking another goal

In life, there are only three certainties: death, taxes and the Tottenham fans’ unfaltering belief that next season will “be their season.”

Club captain Ledley King has started building false hope at the club, by claiming Spurs can challenge the Big Four next season. He has told The Daily Mail a fifth place finish is within their capabilities:

‘With the players we have, I don’t see why we can’t do that. We haven’t lost to Manchester United, Liverpool or Chelsea in the League this season.

‘That proves we can compete and perform, it is just the consistency. If we can get consistency, win games and pick up points away from home on a regular basis, we can be a top side.’

Can Tottenham seriously bounce back from a season of flirting with relegation to challenge the Big Four next term? Frankly, we think there’s more chance of Carlos Tevez winning a beauty contest, but let us know what you think below….

we drew with chelsea, outplayed arsenal beat liverpool and aston villa, kept man u at bay in the carling finalredknapp knows and is getting the players working well ,the stats are top seven if redknapp had started the season instead of ramos…now with palacios etc we start to control games …..villa was a bench test so yes this quality should do well next year and it seems more real than fantasy…..

Still to be beaten by the big 4 this season in league matches. It’s all about consistency. The squad has clearly underachieved for the people in it but still may well qualify for the UEFA cup by finishing 7th.

Nothing wrong with ambition, even Arsenal talk about winning something again one day!

3 weeks ago and 85 minutes gone in the Hull match, Spurs were seriously worried about relegation; two wins and you’re top 4. Not top 7, but top 4. It’s this kind of delusion that stops spurs from winning the less glamorous games that they will need to get even a top 6 finish. Oh, and DRAWING against the top 4 isnt enough to get you into the top 4.

Tottenham are the village idiots of the premier league.
Bootom of the table no hopers.

As a long standing fan there is no doubt of the quality however as long as I have supported Spurs next year is always going to be our year.

    Who know?

OOh and Evil 77 unles you support Man U of Chelsea what have you won lately? Better to be village idiots than blind two faced liars.

    - Unbeaten by anyone in the top four this season.
    - In the top four in the form guide.
    - Defoe coming back to partner Keane. A partnership that took us to 5th twice in succession previously.
    - 33 points from 21 games under Harry Houdini.

what’s the problem with his comments?

in any case, he’s being taken out of context here. any play would answer the same way. “can your team get in the top 4 next season?”

    answer = ” why not?”

another question; what has arsenal won in the last 3 years? have they even been to a cup final in the last two? is nicolas bendtman daryl hannah in drag?

    i’d like some answers.

    Failey signing out.

p.s. DIDN’T YOU PREDICT WE WOULD GET RELEGATED THIS SEASON??? EVEN A TRAMP WOULDN’T ACCEPT THIS CHICKEN DINNER.

lets look at it from a better start we went 8 games without a win relagation form without a doubt .but we only struggled against teams that we made stronger burra mido sunderland hull stoke wigan fulham west brom all desperate to stay in the top flight and a few with europe on there minds its funny i have bean banging on all year to the amusment of fans about energy .and it looks like i was right in january the new agencey took over from the inept uk sport and the any time any where tests have bean introduced and now we are seeing the cream come to the top and head scratching results are becomming less evident we never truggled against class but these teams that swarmed allover us for 90+ mins we did so mutch so that moderic and our new players pav dosantos couldent play and needed time to adjust .So ledly is right to say we can get into the top 4 and compete with the best our reserves nearly beat donesk
