L’pool/ Chelsea, UCL Quarter-final 1st leg, 7.45pm, Sky Sports 2
Liverpool and Chelsea will continue with their annual tradition of playing each other in the Champions League, and it’s a tight game to call. We think Hiddink will bring an attacking game to Anfield, but will probably start with one striker up front:
Malouda Anelka
Lampard Essien
Mikel
Cole Terry Carvalho Ivanovic
Cech
What do you think of our prediction? Should Ballack make the cut? Maybe they should field two up front? Let us know your preferred lineup below…

Who cares? You can pick any 11 and they’ll still go home disappointed having being thought a lesson in “sexy football”. LOL

mancienne should be at right back. if they keep picking mr average ivanovic they’re going to lose a quality player when there’s a shortage of good RB in the world. qualifies as club home-grown too. don’t know what the hell chelsea are doing with their youth policy.
the spoiler’s choice is not bad but i’d play kalou instead of malouda. scored 12 in19 this season mostly as a sub. criminally underrated.
like sarunas’s too. malouda is probs better there than kalou.
not sure if RC is 100% fit yet but alex is becoming a liability so even at 80% RC should play.

my words have now been fully digested.
although i do still think mancienne needs a few matches to keep him sweet.
