Liverpool/Arsenal, Premier League, 8pm, Sky Sports 1
Arsenal may be unbeaten in eighteen Premier League games and have won their last five, but chickendinner believe Rafael Benitez could end both runs tonight to return Liverpool to the top of the table. Here’s why…
1. Liverpool have beaten every other top five side in the league at Anfield.
2. The Reds have won their last five Premier League matches, scoring sixteen and conceding just one - from the penalty spot.
3. They have won three and drawn one of their four home league clashes with Arsenal under Benitez, and are unbeaten in six meetings with the Gunners.
4. Liverpool have two impressive records in their favour heading into this fixture. They are the only team who are unbeaten at home in the league this season and the only side who haven’t lost to a top eight side.
5. Arsenal’s last run of five straight league wins started at the end of last season and continued into this campaign. They lost the sixth game 1-0 away to Fulham. They have only won six in a row once in the last five years.

One problem with your theory m8. how many of these PL games involved gerrard not playing. This has draw written all over it.
1-1
or
2-2

You claim you have 5 reasons why Liverpool will win tonight, however, your 5th point only backs that Arsenal will not win, which does not mean that Liverpool will win. Bit of a school boy error.

The fifth points is stating that the last time Arsenal went on a run of five straight league wins, they lost the following game.

Michael The 5th point does not state the sixth game was a defeat, only the last time Arsenal had a 5 games run. It clearly says “They have only won six in a row once in the last five years.” On the 28 Oct 2006 Everton drew with Arsenal ending a 5 game winning run. So the 6th game does not always end in defeat, which only proves that the 5th point is rather a childish point. Michael you should check the facts.

It’s really in Arsenal’s interest to lose. Allowing Liverpool to continue to pressure Manchester United in the league will stretch Man U ahead of the CL semifinal.
