UCL Semi-Final 1st Leg, 7.45pm, Sky Sports 2
In anticipation of tonight’s Champions League semi-fina, our boys at chickendinner have compiled ten number-based stats that may help you bet on the game…
0 - The number of losses Manchester United have suffered in their last 23 Champions League games.
1 - The number of victories Arsenal have claimed on their last six trips to Old Trafford. They have lost the other five.
2 - The number of times that Arsenal have faced fellow Premier League opposition in the Champions League prior to this - Chelsea in 2003-04 and Liverpool last season. On both occasions they were eliminated.
3 - The number of games where away-goal chasing Arsenal have found the net on their last nine trips to Old Trafford.
4 - The number of goals Manchester United scored in their last cup clash with Arsenal - a 4-0 FA Cup fifth round win last season where the Gunners rested several players. It’s also the shirt number of the Red Devils’ long-term injury absentee Owen Hargreaves, who scored the winner when United saw off Arsenal 2-1 on their last visit a year ago.
5 - The number of consecutive Man Utd/Arsenal games that have featured over 2.5 goals.
6 - The number of draws Manchester United have endured in ten Champions League games this season - including five in their last seven.
7 - The number of times Arsenal have failed to score in 25 away games this season.
8 - The number of the last ten Champions League semi-final matches that have featured two goals or fewer. Going back even further, 14 of the last 17 clashes at this stage have contained under 2.5 goals.
9 - Of Arsenal’s last nine European away games, excluding qualifiers, they have won just two. Impressively, those victories came against AC Milan and Fenerbahce.

I can’t call it.
Man U have Vidic and Ferdinand back, Rooney is on form and Ronaldo is going to be licking his lips at the sight of Gibbs lining up opposite him.
However, Adebayor has a great record against them, Fabregas/Nasri seem to be clicking in midfield and Walcott will run Evra ragged.
Anyone?

Number 9 isn’t right - we haven’t won our last nine away games in Europe. Our last one was a 1-1 draw with Villareal.

Cheers Pete for pointing out the typo. I managed to confuse myself with my own tenuous link to the number nine!
